Return and Refund Policy
At Oz Tech Deals, we are committed to provide high quality products and outstanding customer service. This Return and Refund Policy is designed in accordance with the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) to ensure transparency and fairness.
Consumer Guarantees
Under the Australian Consumer Law, you are eligible for a refund, replacement, or repair if a product you purchase:
- Has a defect that would've kept someone from buying it if they knew about it.
- Not safe.
- Materially different from the sample or description.
- Doesn't work as described, or what you ordered, and can't be easily fixed.

Change of Mind Returns
Although we are not required to offer refunds for change of mind by law, we do offer the following return facility as a gesture of goodwill:
- Return applications must be received within 30 days of receiving your order.
- The products must remain in their original packaging, unused, and in an undamaged resaleable condition.
- A 20% restocking fee is charged on all successful change-of-mind returns.
- Return shipping will be handled by Oz Tech Deals, a prepaid return shipping label will be provided.
- Oz Tech Deals reserves the right to decline returns that do not meet the above criteria.
Refunds for change of mind returns:
- Refunds will be issued only to the original method of payment.
- The restocking fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
- Please allow up to 14 days after we receive the returned item for your refund to be processed.
- No exceptions can be made to this policy.
Faulty Product Returns
If your product is faulty or not working as expected, please contact us as soon as possible. We will guide you through the troubleshooting or return process.
- Return requests for faulty items must be made within a reasonable timeframe in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.
- Items must be returned with all original packaging and accessories.
Refund for faulty products:
- After receiving and inspecting the returned product, if it is confirmed faulty, a full refund, repair, or replacement will be offered as appropriate.
- Refund will be issued only to the original method of payment.
- Please allow up to 14 days from the date we receive the item for your refund to be processed.
Australian Consumer Law Notice: Our products are covered by guarantees that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a refund or replacement in the case of a major failure, as well as compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. If a product does not meet acceptable quality standards but the issue is not considered a major failure, you are entitled to have it repaired or replaced.
How to Initiate a Return

Cost of Shipping
- When the product is defective or incorrectly described, OZ Tech Deals will cover return postage.
- For change-of-mind returns, the customer is responsible for all return shipping.
OZ Tech Deals Warranty Coverage
All items presented for sale by OZ Tech Deals are protected by our warranty, for material and workmanship defects under regular use:
Devices
Brand New and Refurbished Devices: Protected by a 24-month warranty from the date of purchase.
Battery Warranty
All devices have a 12-month battery warranty, which protects:
- Faulty batteries, or
- Batteries which do not last as expected under normal conditions of use.
Accessories
- Mobile accessories come with a 12-month or 24-month warranty, depending on the item.
- Warranty duration is displayed on all product pages. If unsure, please contact us.
Warranty Exclusions
The OZ Tech Deals warranty will exclude the following situations
- Physical damage or cracked screen resulting from drops, impact, or misuse.
- Liquid or water damage.
- Tampering with software or unauthorized modifications (e.g., jailbreaking, rooting)
- Repairs by unauthorized third-party individuals.
- Negligence in taking care of the product.
- Using the product in an abnormal or unexpected manner.
Your Rights Under Australian Consumer Law
Our warranty is subject to your statutory rights under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to replacement or a refund for a major failure, and for any other loss or damage which is reasonably foreseeable. You are also entitled to have goods replaced or repaired if they do not meet acceptable quality standards but the failure is not a major failure.
